They definitely cooked with this
.
It is really nice… at the beginning. Dunno why but after 40 or so chapters it feels so stretched just for the sake of it. Unsubscribed around ch.70
Still if you like more like mystery or criminal books that may be a good one for you. It is nicely drawn, story is, other then what I mentioned, decent.

A really good read if you’ve also enjoyed: Raven Consort!
I love Mao Mao and how she is written
I love how they paused at 69 chapters 💀
A well-crafted masterpiece. With calm, mature and… elegant? tone to it. A lot of characters in this one are pretty smart, or at least wise. And so is mc, but in her own fields.
It might be just me, but i can actually feel the tension of inner palace, and mind games behind the noble facade.
Although it’s still feels like this manga is too unknown to the wider audience, despite now having an anime…
It’s a certain 10/10
One of the best things I’ve read on this site, and the best one that’s not widely known. Underrated as hell and I wish they’d update it.
It’s a crime to humanity that this is not a famous manga. 5/5
Fresh. Theres’s mysteries, there’s medicine, and there’s social struggles in a hierarchical society inspired by Ancient Chinese culture (based on the characters’ attire and the setting).
The characters are really interesting… the mc is intelligent, but becomes a maniac when it comes to certain things. The male lead is (spoiler alert) a pseudo-enuch (don’t ask me what this means), and doubles as a national beauty.
The story also touches upon some social conflicts (ie. inequality between different classes and gender, limitations and hardships brought by your social standing and circumstances).
Anyways, I enjoyed the read and learned a few things as well. It’s really satisfying to be a tad more knowledgeable even when reading something for entertainment. I guess, for a while, I’ve been reading too many generic, formulaic stories that doesn’t require much brain cells to find pleasure in.
Manga with inteligent character and a lot of story. Close to 5/5.
i love this one because the mc is extremely intelligent yet doesn’t have crazy arrogance
