The author trying to justify the enemies isn’t working for me. Their attempts since the beginning were laughable at best.

Yes yes zest and company have full moral justification to hate Nobility. Fictional or realistic nobles have been scumbags throughout time.
Still doesn’t justify the wholesale slaughter of everyone else. So no matter how much these backstories try to say the demonoids had reasons for their hate…. it doesn’t absolve them of being monsters.

I feel like we are doing the side quests…
I miss the days where evil was evil and good was good… nowadays the hero’s are a-holes and fire their party members, while those who we see as devils, start to make sense after a while… oh well. :-/
