That quote about not eating the food set before you … isn’t that a cultural quip about enjoying the company of women that are willing? I think it was a double entendre about how he should be making out with them, not making breakfast.

Did he use magic to assist in the cooking of the taters?
Because I have cooked a lot of stuff on a stick over a campfire and a tater on a stick takes literal hours unless you cut it. And even then it is a long, long process. And if you cut them, they taste more like wood smoke than a potato.
Best is to wrap in foil if you got it and bury in edge of the coals. Or if you don’t have foil, cover with ashes and then the coals. Using a stick just takes forever.
Or maybe I am overthinking it..
Either way, now I’m hungry..
