Doom Summoner

Just finished reading all 23 available chapters of this Manhua.
My rating system I’ve come up with now is
1=Bad, 2=Okay, 3=Good, 4=Great, 5=Best.

I rate this 3/5. It’s Good, It’s Readable. Though it has problems. The whole story is rushed, it could explain and spend more time on interesting parts of the story, but chooses not to or does very little, like what happened to the Government and Military, or MC’s Past, like his Co-workers, Friends, Family and so on. It spends more time on boring fights than anything else. And the most interesting part of the whole story are like, 3 things. The MC tames the Dog he fought against in the early chapters, which is revealed to be a stray dog he would feed before the Disaster, which is an example of what this story lacks, explanations. This Fact only came up after MC needed to escape a bigger Monster. It’s like some kind of Deus ex machina. And the second most interesting part is the New Survivor Group MC joins, got some nice Politics, but could’ve used more explanation. Third and last most interesting part of this story, is how MC becomes evil in the last chapters because he needs to escape mutant plants that are confining him and the survivor group and threatens to kill them all. Again, this could’ve used some more explanation because MC kinda became a villain out of nowhere, we understand why he’s making these evil decisions to sacrifice the Survivor’s Group to the Plants to escape and live, but we could use some more explanations like his inner thoughts justifying this more, but no. In the early Chapters he was saving everyone he came across but in the last Chapters hes now sacrificing innocent people to their deaths. This story has potential if it ever comes back, but would need to fix things up. It spent more time on boring fights instead of these interesting moral dilemmas and side characters.

This also reminds me of “Calamity of the End Times” which is a bit better than this at a 4/5 rating. And is also been on hiatus for a year now.
