So… the reviews for this series are REALLY at opposition of each other. In my opinion, I have to say it’s pretty confusing. Others are criticizing the dudes saying they don’t get it but don’t really explain the story themselves. I don’t think the writing is the best, the pacing isn’t exactly great either. It honestly might’ve been better had the author not tried to make the MC’s backstory.
Like, I get the story but I don’t.
Overall, even without the confusion I had for the story, it still falls flat. The art’s alright, the story is eh.., and the pacing isn’t that good.
A quick summary is: The MC is apart of a bloodline of talented geniuses, but he is a genius among even those in his bloodline. He has been sheltered his entire life in fear of his father killing him by others in fear of his father finding out his true talent.
I can tell the author is trying to leave plot points now for the future with the whole situation with the MC’s master having other disciples but it’s so disorienting. The author is attempting to tell multiple stories at once while not focusing on one specific one until chapter 7-8. I won’t say it’s bad, it’s just not good.
WHO IS THE MC????
It’s dogshit, the pacing is absolutely horrible, there are random timeskips that you must figure out when happen yourself, since the writing is so dogshit that you are left guessing when it happens. it starts off with the main character getting abused, forced to eat dog shit, then released, which he then somehow forgets it all, and forgives his master for leaving him, his master then barely gives him any sword skills, then dies to 3 others, who they barely if even at all introduced, the master dies, then it presumably timeskips to when he’s an adult and working in a horse stable when he almost gets killed and scammed. seriously what the fuck is this writing? one of the most rage inducing manhwa’s i’ve ever read, the art and writing is too mediocre to even tell what’s going on at times. Reading this makes me feel like Im suffering from dementia.
Best pacing and lore telling without the need for a narrators monologue
It is quite confusing at ealier chaos for I can’t determine who is the mc but not until in the later chaps. It’s quite promising so far.
I don’t like parts of it (namely the other disciples), but MC is very cool and I can’t wait for more chapters. As of now I’d give it a 4.5
This seems interesting but the description is too vague for me to check it out. Lemme know what y’all think
